In 2014  Echo Network Africa (ENA) established a vehicle; KWFT Customer Share Ownership Plan Trust to enable customers of the bank to own shares in Kenya Women Microfinance Bank Limited with the sole objective of appreciating its women customers for their loyalty and support over the years.

The Trust was established vide a Trust Deed and Scheme Rules dated 15th September 2014. It is not registered yet therefore it does not have a registration certificate. The Trustees vide a meeting held on 11th April 2023, approved the registration of the Trust as a body corporate.

The Trust has a membership of more than 60,000 women and holds 25% shares in KWFT Bank which amounts to Forty-Six Million, Four Hundred and Eighty-Five Thousand and Four Hundred (46,485,400) ordinary shares. The Trust is managed by Trustees who are listed as the shareholders of the bank and hold the said shares in trust on behalf of the women.
